Sustainability Promotion System

he Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) were established at the UN Summit in September 2015 as the successor of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) established in 2001. They are the international goals for the period from 2016 to 2030, described in the “2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development,” consisting of 17 goals and 169 targets to create a sustainable world, and pledges to “leave no one behind” on the planet.

Reduction of CO2 emissions

We aim to create a carbon neutral society by reducing CO2 emitted from our factories that cause global warming,

Specific activities

  • Change to LED lighting within the facility
  • Implementing simultaneous lunch break
  • Shutting down the factory for one hour during lunch to control total hours of operation
  • Switching to energy conserving air conditioning
  • Switching to glass films with insulation effect
  • Switching to LED lighting within the facility
  • Switching to plant-based plastic bags
  • Switching to FSC certified cartons

Improve the workplace environment

Back ground of issue recognition and goal setting

Building a corporate culture in which everyone can work comfortably regardless of gender, nationality, or job classification, and aiming to be a company in which employees feel fulfilled and proud of their work.

Specific activities

  • Enhancement of in-house training and introduction of qualification acquisition support system
  • Maintenance of various regulations, e.g. maternity and childcare leave, nursing care leave, and sexual harassment regulations etc., and implementation of training workshop regularly
  • Monthly meetings regarding employee leave between directors and union representatives
  • Introduction of (1) Birthday leave, and (2) Nursing care leave

Ensuring sustainable production and consumption patterns

Using recyclable materials and plastic-free products are the minimum requirements to be complied with.

  • Negotiations with our clients on the production of plastic-free products
  • Switching to eco-friendly materials
  • Changing packaging to renewable materials
  • Collecting used-products and maintaining them to reuse

Design committed to child safety

Award system for product, service, activity, environment, and research that are devoted to children and raising them

Every child is a treasure to our society and the future itself. The Kids Design Award was established to work with diverse people to ensure the future of children is sustainable and bright. We hope to help create a society in which “parents can to give birth and raise children with comfort,” an environment where “children can live safely and securely,” and where “children can grow up with sensitivity and creativity,”
